Flight of the Clans RP
In the wilderness far past the familiar territories of the Lake or the Forest, there are four clans, founded by four siblings generations ago: Heronclan, founded by a peaceful and thoughtful cat, though strategic and knowing when to pick a fight. Falconclan, founded by a fearsome and loyal cat. Wrenclan, founded by a small, but loud and territorial cat. And finally, Vultureclan, founded by a pacifist, truly avoidant to any fights, but an intimidating cat. The clans now try to follow in their founders' footsteps in a new age.
Each clan has their own territory that is characterized by the most prominent biome in their home. Heronclan is in wetlands and their camp is surrounded by a river. Falconclan is in the grasslands, part of their territory is regular forest, but the majority is open field. Their camp rests in the wooded area on a very hard to get to hill, packed tightly with trees. Wrenclan is in the pine forest, blending in well with the darker trees and making camp in a similar situation to Falconclan. They find themselves under pine trees and live in a dug out, dried riverbed. Vultureclan's territory is rocky and steep, right on the edges of the mountains that the clans are by. Their camp is nestled under rocks up against a cliff.
Rules
OOC Rules 1. Be respectful to your fellow RPers and obviously follow the rules of the forum. 2. Ask before you relate your character to anyone else's. 3. Please don't spam and try not to double post. 4. You can add to the form but please don't take away from the form and fill it out entirely. (You can use your own form if it includes what's in my form. 5. Try not to talk OOC in the rp thread. You can use this thread to talk. 6. Wait to be approved by me before you enter the RP thread. 7. If you cannot keep track of a character you made or don't wish to rp them anymore but you don't want them to die or leave the clans, then you can let me foster them or give them to a member of the forum to take them over.
RP Rules 1. No godmodding. This is just self explanatory. 2. Keep your cats realistic. Cats don't have super powers. (If you need help with ages or cat genetics you can pm and ask before you submit your form or we can discuss it here.) 3. Apprentices must be at least 6 moons old. There is no kit that is "strong enough" to, for any reason, bipass this rule. 4. Ask before you kill anyone's character. 5. No inappropriate RP. 6. You don't have to follow the warrior code in character, just be prepared for consequences if caught. 7. This is a literate RP, try to do multiple of lines of text. Take your time to reply. We're not in a rush.
Warrior Code 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. 2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. 3. Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. 4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. 6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. 7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. 9. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 10. A Gathering of all [four] Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. 11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. 12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. 13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense. 15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. (Non Warrior Code Rules ↓) 16. Medicine cats may not have a mate or kits, as they must be able to heal all cats equally. 17. Kits must stay in camp until they are apprenticed, and are not allowed to hunt. 18. The safety of the Clan as a whole is more important than the safety of one cat. 19. Enemy patrols must not attack cats if they are on a mission that all four Clans have agreed upon or if they are a medicine cat.
Adopts
In the clans there will be "NPC"s that fill in important clan roles. These will all be characters colored like this and will be played by me. Anyone who is joining the roleplay is welcome to adopt these cats. It is also entirely okay to replace these characters. They will not be "plot important" but fill the roles that are necessary for a roleplay like this. I will place them in this thread with brief bios that you can alter or add to. You can ask in the Adopts thread for any clarification and also request to adopt them there so that I can keep things organized. I would still request that you send a Form here though, especially if you make changes, but you could also PM me. If people want to adopt the same character then we can talk about it in the Adopts thread.

(I am only double posting to add my character. I will also edit this post to add more.)
Jaggedleaf:
- General - Name: Jaggedleaf Age (Moons): 73 moons Gender/Pronouns: She/her Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Asexual Panromantic Rank: Medicine Cat Clan: Vultureclan Appearance: Jaggedleaf is a rugged and large cat. She is speckled white and black. She is visibly aged and has warm green eyes. Her whiskers are bent strangely. She has a notch in her ear and a long scar on her back left leg.
- Personal - Personality: She is fairly grumpy, but doesn't seem to act on it much since she is shortspoken and quiet. She doesn't see any point in idle conversation and gets right to the point everytime. She doesn't pull her punches when she does need to say something though. She follows her own rules and really just does whatever she wants. Despite that, she does revere Starclan and respect them, even if she is unconventional and they don't love it. Strengths: She is a very strong hunter, despite being a medicine cat. She does hunt for the clan when she actually has the time or needs to for her patient, day or night. She has a really incredible memory and doesn't struggle at all with memorising herbs, their locations, or their uses. Weaknesses: Obviously since she is very blunt, she can't coddle her patients in the way that many of them need or want. She is also a very strict mentor which can be good or bad, but overall she is strict whether her apprentice needs it or not, which makes me put it in her weaknesses. And since she has her own rules, that can make her apprentice get in trouble when they are trying to abide by her rules. Likes: She really enjoys hunting. She also loves the smell of catmint and actually moved a catmint plant closer to camp just to smell. Though, of course she uses it when needed to save a cats life. She won't say it, but she does also like someone in the medicine cat den with her, if they are quiet and they are doing their own things, obviously. Dislikes: She doesn't like when cats talk back to her. She really won't even tolerate a leader doing so to her. She hates when her leader sends apprentices out with her to help her gather herbs as punishment (for the apprentice). It is usually just grueling for the both of them. She actively tries to stop that punishment if it ever comes up. Her least favorite things to treat are births and broken bones.
- Relations - Family: Applespeck (Father) [Deceased], Briarleap (Mother) [Deceased] Mate: N/A Friends: Open Mentor: Tinypond [Deceased] Apprentices: Open
- Extra - Biography: Jaggedleaf was born to her parents, Applespeck and Briarleap, in a litter of just her. She was close to the other kits in the Nursery with her, but was a fairly quiet cat still. Though, she had a sharp tongue and wasn't afraid to use it. She really didn't have any particular big light bulb moment when she figured out she wanted to be a medicine cat. She never wanted to be a warrior and she wanted to heal people, nothing more than that. Tinypond was happy to take an apprentice and they went off from there. When she was young she was a big rule follower, but Tinypond pretty much ran that out of her. They had a really good dynamic and teamwork. She eventually became a full-fledged medicine cat when she was 40 moons old and Tinypond died when she was 52, and he was 97. Other Notes: She walks with a mild limp after she got injured fighting off a dog to protect her mentor, Tinypond, when she was about 35 moons old.

Bugpaw:
- General - Name: Bugpaw Age (Moons): 9 moons Gender/Pronouns: He/They Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Bisexual Biromantic Rank: Apprentice Clan: Heronclan Appearance: He is a silky bicolor cat with white and grey spots and green eyes. He has a stumby, rounded off tail. He is an average size for their age and has no visible scars or injuries.
- Personal - Personality: Bugpaw is a perfectionist. They are quiet and tend to keep to themself. Usually they avoid training in large groups of apprentices and are most comfortable training solely with their mentor. He is a very hard worker though, and works until he gets it right, even if that causes them to become frustrated with themself. Which they can easily get after practicing for a long time at once, especially if they're still not getting it. Although, they really try not to get like that with anyone else. They are uncharacteristically unbashful when other cats are proud of him, despite his generally shy nature. Strengths: Even if his attempts to master a subject is slow to start, he is very smart and once he gets it, he gets it. They work very hard and it pays off. They specifically are good at a head to head fighting, but still struggle to be lightfooted enough to hunt or ambush attack. Weaknesses: They are a slow learner and since they struggle to pick up on things it makes them even more uncomfortable learning in front of others. Which tends to hinder their progress since they can't get more advice or different perspectives on what they're trying to do. They also just aren't the best at communication. It is something they actively do not practice. They don't see communication as being a necessary part of being a warrior and want to leave that up to other cats. Likes: They like being viewed as capable and competent. When he has time he enjoys watching bugs crawl through the forest. He especially enjoys watching ants trail and beetles. There aren't many (Ant hills) by camp, since it is damp and marshy, but he knows where most in Heronclan territory are. Dislikes: Bugpaw hates to get in trouble, there have only been very rare occassions but all times he is on the verge of tears. They also can't stand being put on hunting patrols for obvious reason (Hates doing things he is not good at in front of people).

- Extra - Biography: Bugpaw was born to Minnowhaze. In his early life he didn't entirely know that he didn't have a father as his mother would tell him that he would come visit soon, as the other kits in the nursery did have both parents in the nursery at some points. That lie obviously did not last long. Which had made Bugpaw quite upset with their mother. However, that didn't matter much because they were very quickly reminded that they were an incredible kit who would do great things. As Bugpaw got older in the nursery, they very much exceeded at play fighting the other kits and was praised highly for it. Unfortunately, as the older kits moved out and when Bugpaw had time alone, it was quickly obvious that they were not great at hunting, or even really wanting to. They tried a few times with a beetle in camp, but never could grab it, and they really just found that they liked looking at it more. This sudden lack of fighting spirit was disappointing to his mother. It was a long list of disappointments to come, small ones, but still disappointments. When Bugpaw was finally free of the nursery and his mother's watchful eye, he was quick to try and prove themself to their mentor. Which they did when it came to fighting. But even with their confidence in fighting, they still have a lot to learn. Other Notes: At the beginning of their apprenticeship they did ask to go by He/they pronouns, to their mentor first and later on to the rest of the clan.

- Personal - Personality: Scorchflight is upbeat, fiery, and sometimes impulsive. Their favor towards mischief often gets them in trouble, though they don't go further than causing minor nuisances. Despite their vexatious tendencies, they have a good heart and are a strong warrior. They are fiercely loyal to their clan and their loved ones. They'll do about anything for the sake of the ones they care about. Strengths: Scorchflight has a heart of gold and a lot of love to give. Their loyalty to their clan and those they care for is boundless, and they are motivated by it. Physically, they are pretty dense and sturdy, and not easily knocked down. They have a deep scar over their left shoulder. Weaknesses: Their innate need for mischief sometimes causes others to see them as untrustworthy, and gets them in trouble pretty frequently. Their tricks are usually harmless, but they will occasionally upset others on accident. Their loyalty can be a strength, but they are loyal to a fault. This sense of attachment to their loved ones can cloud their judgement, and get them into more fights than necessary. Their temper is pretty short, especially when it comes to Likes: They love sitting in the sunlight and sharing tongues with other clan members! They also enjoy leaf-fall and the nice colors that come with it. They of course also love being a little bit of a menace and tricking or just bothering cats. Dislikes: They try to be friendly with everyone, but get annoyed with cats who are too serious or stuck-up, or just straight up mean. One thing that can get them to snap immediately is picking on anyone, but especially those who cannot stand up for themselves(kits, young apprentices, the sick, etc.). They don't like talking about their mother.

- Extra - Biography: Since birth, Scorchflight has been a free-spirited, bright-eyed cat. They knew about as soon as they could eat fresh-kill that they wanted to be a warrior, to protect the clan that nurtured them. Their apprenticeship was a bit of a struggle, as their fiery spirit, unending loyalty, and personal struggle with identity caused them to be impulsive instead of learning to be a rational warrior. Eventually, though, they were able to calm their impulses and became a full warrior. When they were about 9 moons old, however, their mother, Mosspatch, was killed in battle with a group of ferocious rogue cats. Scorchflight was at the scene, but was unable to save her. This loss caused their intensive spirit to die down for some time, becoming lethargic and closed off. Eventually, though, they processed the grief and were once again more able to help their clan. The memory still haunts them, however. They rarely talk about this incident with anyone. Their father, Foxstrike, died peacefully when Scorchflight was about 23 moons old. Their mentor and former deputy of Falconclan, Sparrowtooth, died of illness and likely old age. Though they suffered grief from these losses as well, it was not as painful as the untimely loss of their mother. They've been a dedicated Falconclan warrior for many moons now, but they still have a lot to learn. Other Notes: This background isn't too important, but Scorchflight was born a she-cat and about halfway through their apprenticeship requested the clan use gender-neutral pronouns for them ^.^
Rabbitstride:
- General - Name: Rabbitstride Age (Moons): 38 moons Gender/Pronouns: She/Her Sexual/Romantic Orientation: Homoromantic Homosexual Rank: Warrior Clan: Heronclan Appearance: Rabbitstride is a lanky, dexterous white cat with long ears and green eyes. She has soft, smooth fur and no visible injuries.
- Personal - Personality: Rabbitstride is a gentle, patient cat. She isn’t keen on fighting, focusing on dexterity and stealth rather than strength and aggression. She does her best to keep a level head, and is often a mediator of minor conflicts. To most, she puts on an air of grace, confidence, and kindness. However, those who know her well have seen her less than graceful side. Strengths: Rabbitstride has seemingly endless patience and kindness to give. Her kind nature and gentle spirit also allow her a level head for making decisions, as well as befriending others. She is also swift and stealthy, able to avoid attacks with ease and sneak up on prey. She is also a strong swimmer. Weaknesses: Rabbitstride’s kindness and patience also gets her in trouble. At times, she will let her optimistic outlook and faith in others obstruct her from seeing through deception or malicious intent. Though she is skilled at dodging attacks and is still a skilled fighter, she is at a disadvantage if she is unable to avoid a battle or is against a significantly larger opponent. Despite her graceful exterior, she is actually a bit scatterbrained and, at times, clumsy, with a tendency to lose her train of thought and not watch where she’s going. Likes: She enjoys swimming and fishing, and water in general. One of her favorite sights is fresh dew on the ground in the morning. She prefers the presence of others to being alone, though more often than not she’d rather her time spent with other cats be calm and quiet. Dislikes: She avoids arguments as much as possible. Though she is good at mediating conflict, she always leaves such situations feeling exhausted and upset. She isn’t fond of brutish cats, those who flaunt their power or strength, or are generally overly harsh.
- Extra - Biography: Rabbitstride has, in her own words, led a relatively boring life, at least in comparison to many others. She was born a healthy kit, and knew fairly early on that she wanted to be a warrior. However, due to her gentle nature, she was often doubted, her ability to be a strong warrior overlooked. Some cats were meaner than others, but regardless, she did her best to not let it get to her. During her warrior training, she focused more on stealth than pure physical power, making her an important member of the clan when it comes to situations beyond battles. Though some may still doubt her loyalty and strength due to her soft heart, she knows she is more than capable. Other Notes: I’ll make Russetfang later >.< Maybe Jayflight too buuut idk lol
